Our butterfly house

When we went outside on Friday afternoon - we were very excited to see Mr Barnes marking out the butterfly house. He was using a measuring tape to mark out the sides of the butterfly house. He marked each corner with some spray paint.

We decided to stand alongside where the walls of the butterfly house will be. We left a gap on the right hand side where the door of the butterfly house will be.



It was even more exciting to watch Mr Barnes begin to dig the first hole for the post of the butterfly house. He was using a tool that he told us was about 100 years old and had been passed down to him from other family members. Mr Barnes kindly let us help with for a little while. How cool was that -
