This week we have been very lucky to have Jacqui Knight the 'butterfly lady' come to our school to talk about the importance of looking after butterflies and shared a lot of interesting facts about them. She wore a really neat butterfly shirt and had a butterfly hat. She turned Mrs Keeley into the most beautiful monarch butterfly - we watched as she put on her wings, antennae, 6 legs because butterflies are insects, compound eyes, feet to taste with and a proboscis to suck up the nectar. Mrs Keeley looked fantastic.
Check out the monarch butterfly website - it has a lot of interesting information including ways we can support the trust.

Thanks for visiting our school Jacqui - we hope you come back and visit us again as we build a butterfly house at school.
