Week 10 Term 2 2010

This week our local educational police officer popped in to see us. His name is Constable Harwood. He stayed for a little while and talked to us about his job and showed us some of the tools he uses in his job.

We took the opportunity to ask him about what his favourite toy was when he was little. We found out that he use to play with toy soldiers and that he didn't have them anymore BUT he did keep the 'Tonka toys' he use to play with. Thanks Constable Harwood for popping in to see us and thanks Jade for taking this photo of him with the class camera.

We also made some invitations, inviting a special guest to our 'Toys Tea party' next week. You can tell by the image below how excited we are to be having a tea party at school and sharing with our special guests some of the things we now know about toys.

Thanks also to Martin for making these paper toys, following the instructions in his reader this week. At our developmental session on Friday Martin showed others how to make them.
